It has been a whole 2 years since my big chop, and my hair journey has been both a delight and a drag. I don’t think I can ever not love my hair the way that I love it now, ever since I did the big chop.
Even though there are days when I feel like my hair is not healthy enough or lacks something, or it just isn’t what I want it to be, there are days when I am extremely in love with it.
Taking time to establish a consistent routine for your hair, learning what your hair likes and does not like in terms of products and methods you use, are important steps to implement in your hair journey for ultimate healthy hair results and for your relationship with your hair.
Doing a lot of protective styles and changing things up a bit through different hairstyles has also been helping me appreciate my hair more. It removes the boredom and tiring work of dealing with your hair in the same state all the time, and gives you a sense of exploration with what works for you.
Taking care of my hair no longer feels like work, but an act of love and care.
How is your hair journey going?
